Making Tax
Digital – MTD

Making Tax Digital (MTD) for Income Tax Self-Assessment (ITSA) will come into effect from 6 April 2026 for self-employed individuals and landlords earning over £50,000, and from April 2027 for those earning over £30,000.

Under MTD, individuals will need to submit their tax information five times a year, rather than a single annual return.
